Land Acknowledgment: We want to recognize and acknowledge that we meet on the traditional territories of the Mississauga of the Credit River and the Six Nations Haudenosaunee and within the lands protected by the Dish with One Spoon wampum agreement.

- Welcome and Indigenous Land Acknowledgement reviewed
- Introductions completed, review of Values, Mission and Vision as a group and discussions of what Respect means to you
- We tried reading them all together and we maybe felt like a cult…
- Good discussion about Respect during meetings.
3. Sergeant Jennifer McFadden reviewed the crime stats for the last 30 days which were down from the previous months.

1. 100 in 1 day – was a success, lanterns and art in the park were well done!
- Boys and Girls Club Summer Camp
- 6 week camp at Central Memorial Rec Centre – ONLY $15 for each week
- Registration at 45 Ellis Ave if you’re interested
- CD update
- Small grant review occurred before this meeting (4 were reviewed)
- Neighbourhood Action Strategy – available online reimaginingNAS.ca
- To be brought before council for voting, but the vote was deferred until after the election (November)
- Which neighbourhoods are a part of the NAS is up in the air
- Hamilton Community Foundation and city are still trying to figure it out.
- Future HPO Children’s Events
- Diana Wier from the HPO has offered a brass quintet on a Saturday evening (August 25th) with a bring your own picnic at 1pm
- Family music literacy program on July 21st after the BBQ!
- Tickets will be provided to participants for future HPO events
- Listen and Learn – July 21st after the BBQ in the courtyard at Central Memorial Rec Centre
- Possible smaller events throughout the neighbourhood and could be opened up to other neighbourhoods as well
- Hamilton Continuing Care (125 Wentworth St S (at Delaware))
- Schlegel Village is in need of volunteers!
- Friendly visits (weekends are a lonely time)
- Kids and pets allowed
- There is also a piano if anyone needs to practice or wants to show off
- Possibly helping teach seniors computer literacy

- Possibly having an SCA meeting there to help build connections!

- 10th Annual Free Children’s Literacy Event that occurs at Westfield in September 16th, 2018 with a book swap
