• Poster Kiosk Message Board for by Central Memorial Rec Centre (PB2013)
• Staff – Peter Bobschall x4819
• (Information provided by Jason Farr) – This section is responsible for the PBW2 kiosk initiative in addition to the Information Kiosk Expansion Program. The PBW2 budget is $20k and the expansion program has been funded through Urban Renewal (Glen Norton’s group) at the level of $200K. We have combined the two initiatives to realize efficiencies in resources and to provide improved value to each program. We expect this approach to provide improved pricing on the manufacturing and installation of the units as we will be ordering higher quantities. We are hopeful that this approach will also provide some maintenance efficiencies also. We began engaging the BIAs in November 2014 and are currently working with them to determine their level of interest in terms of desired number and location of units. The BIA information kiosks and poster sleeves will apply to the expansion program budget. Our next step is to speak to Ward 2 stakeholders and gauge their level of support also; these units will be applied to the W2PB funding. After we have determined the total desired number of units to install, and an associated maintenance strategy, we will put together a plan to manufacture and install them. We expect to have stakeholder engagement completed by the end of Q2 2015 and the units to be installed, including in Ward 2, by Q4 2015.
