- Neighbourhood Action Evaluation Focus Group (Robyn and Kayonne – 7:05 – 8:00 PM)

- Facilitated an activitiy to get feedback from residents about what has been accomplished, not started, in progress as per the Stinson Neighbourhood Action Plan action items. Followed by focus group asking about challenges, successes and ways to improve from the Neighbourhood Action Plan process so far.
- ACTION: Neighbourhood Action Evaluation will come back to the SCA to report on the outcomes of the neighbourhood focus groups involved with the Neighbourhood Action Strategy

- Dave reviewed the monthly financial report-looks good!

- Small Grant Project

- StinsonConnects! Community BBQ – Approved by the grant review sub-committee. $1250
- SCA Website Improvements – Approved by the grant review sub-committee $700. Dave updated that he would like to do a brief tutorial on how to update the calendar
- Little Free Library – Held back on this grant until August
- Sunil asked if the grant review should be a part of the SCA meeting or keep as the current process
- Feedback was keep the process the same which is as having a grant review sub-committee
- Sunil to send out copies of the small grants package for people to review and get more familiar
- ACTION: Motion to approve StinsonConnects! and SCA website improvements grants – Dave moved the motion to approve grants and seconded by Tarek. All voters in approval.
- Corktown Proposal Update

- Working together to develop a Skills sharing workshop
- Corktown submitted a grant to host workshop in Corktown with the support of Stinson residents
- Workshop held will be on Wed July 12th 7 PM at Church of the Ascension: Learn How to Small Space Garden workshop. Jess and Owen from Stinson will be helping to lead the seminar
- Hope from Corktown is that there will be a number of skills sharing workshops
- Potential for more cross collaboration with Durand too
- Question about how to promote – will be flyering, postering with the aim of getting into apartment buildings
- ACTION: Corktown Skills Sharing Sessions – Motion to collaborate with Corktown on the Skills Sharing Sessions. Motion moved by Karl and seconded by Eleni. Approved by all.
- Endorsement Policy Update

- A first final document is ready!
- Dave reviewed the purpose of the endorsement purpose
- Would like to have a format of having a web form for filling out
- Suggested to use as a pilot program until the 2018 AGM to have opportunity to use as a guidance
- Use the next 16 months for learning how to use it
- Feedback: it needs more space for filling in, need to add in a timeline section
- ACTION: Margaret offered to help walk through filling out the form with Dave
- ACTION: Will wait until August General Meeting to pilot the Endorsement policy
- New Committees: Engagement/Inclusion Committee and Terms of Reference Review Team

- Sunil looking at holding subcommittee on inclusive engagement i.e. tools, tactics and approaches. Asked for volunteers to help out
- Also looking at updating the Terms of Reference for the SCA. Asked for residents to volunteer, not executive team members
- Action: Let Sunil know if you would like to volunteer for either task

- Songs from the Bishop – Motion made by Dave to approve request for funds – Dave updated that he would like to make a motion to pay music acts $150 per artist. Motion is $150 for 4 acts and $100 for Adam for his time and effort. Funds are coming from a past fundraiser for SFTB.
- ACTION: Motion: Dave moved a motion for Christina seconded motion. All in Approval.
- Yard sale: Dave has connected with Corktown and Durand to host a community wide garage sale. Likely will be end of July. Will be promoting. Meeting on Wed 14th at Corktown Pub at 6 PM.
- Events – Community BBQ, July 8th – Volunteers needed for Day of event. Music booked, little free reptile zoo, clown will be attending. SPCA spay and neuter registration will be attending
- ACTION: Need BBQ volunteers. Please contact [email protected] if you’re interested in helping out
- Stinzine – McMaster is helping with developing a business plan, Mohawk is helping with design.
- International Village – Will be reconnecting about the BBQ, movie night on July 21st Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. Will be at Ferguson Station. Have been in conversation about preparing businesses for LRT. August 19th touring International Village
- Slow Down Snail Mural– Hope to paint and the end of July. Will be incorporating a stop sign.
- PlanLocal– No updates.
- Ward 2 Community Council – Complete Community Feedback – More emphasis on a policy on a complete community feeling. Looking at doing a study. About housing and all other amenities that people need for their communities.
- Community Garden – Planting on Saturday at noon. Have topsoil
- Concession Street BIA – Karl will be attending with a SCA table

- Julianna LaChance would like to pursue a mural in Stinson. Would like to have support from the community. Shared a draft of her vision. Will be attending the August General Meeting.
