Thank you to all that came out to participate in the Team Up 2 Cleanup and supported our Easter Egg Hunt this year. Through your donations at the Easter Egg Hunt you helped raise almost $200 towards next years hunt, as well as a giant Ikea bag of canned goods for a local youth food bank Thank you, thank you, thank you! We are starting the planning process around a community picnic, yard sale, and ‘Songs of the Bishop’. Let us know how you think you can help!
Public WiFi is now available at Central Memorial Recreation Centre
The June issue of the StinZine is currently in the works. We are looking for community input into the content including articles, pictures and artwork, you can send them to [email protected]. The deadline for content submissions is May 1st. If you’d like to be more involved – let the Zine Team know. The next Zine Team meeting will be Wednesday May 7th from 7-9pm. Please e-mail stinzine to RSVP your attendance.
There will be a Ward 2 Community council public meeting held on May 5th beginning @ 6:00 pm Room 264 City Hall. Corktown is chairing the meeting and Stinson will be taking minutes.
Our Monthly SCA Executive meeting for April will be moved to Wednesday April 30th – 7pm @ Radius Cafe. The SCA general meeting will be on Thursday May 8th starting at 7pm.
We have received some inquiries around the return/refund of prorated membership dues, in lieu of a refund you are also welcome to consider your paid dues a donation to the SCA. For more information please contact [email protected]
