There will be an opportunity for you to participate in a film being created for Participatory Budgeting Ward 2 2014 tomorrow in the Stinson Community. Please see information below.
As well, the SCA executive will be meeting tomorrow Wednesday March 26th @ 7pm @ Radius Cafe. All are invited to attend and observe. The executive primarily uses this time to plan and review the agenda for the upcoming SCA general meeting.
PBW2 – Promotional Film
Concept: A Non- Speaking promotion set to music with people holding up signs in their neighbourhood with the PBW2014 slogan “1 million dollars, Your Ideas, You Decide” There will also be small groups holding up other signs such as a light bulb or the word “participate” in different languages.
People: I am looking for many different groups to be represented. Please feel free to invite friends and family. If you speak another language at home please be prepared to write “participate” on a sign for me for filming.
Schedule: All of the filming will take place on Wednesday, March 26th. Please see below for more details
830am- Durand at Queen and Robinson (to demonstrate traffic)
930am- Durand St. Mark’s Church
10:00 am Durand Central Public School
10:30 am Meeting at Coffee time in Jackson Square- Somali Community and Shots of Arts Community on James St. North
12:00pm Meeting at Volunteer Hamilton- Various participants representing a variety of communities speaking different languages
1:00pm Beasley Community (1-130 meeting in Skate Park, also filming murals and alley ways ** looking for participants) and North End (130-2pm filming at bayfront park looking for a participant currently with family members in front of “family friendly” park sign)
2:00pm Stinson Neighbourhood filming at Carter Park, Stinson lofts, and underpass at Victoria. Meet at Carter Park
2:45pm Corktown filming corktown park and sign from pub. (** participants welcome)
