Hamilton Farmers’ Market Focus Group
Tuesday, September 10, 2013 · 4:00 – 5:30 pm
Community Kitchen Room, Hamilton Farmers’ Market
35 York Blvd., Hamilton, ON
There is a strong desire to see the Hamilton Farmers’ Market flourish and grow in the
years ahead. Downtown Hamilton is experiencing an exciting revitalization and our
Councillors and Management are anxious to ensure that the Hamilton Farmers’ Market is
well positioned for a strong and vibrant future.
The Director of Enterprise Management and Revenue Generation, John Hertel, has been
asked to lead this review. The goal is to develop a set of recommendations to present to
Council for consideration.
Citizen engagement is a critical component of the review to hear the diverse opinions and
viewpoints of the various stakeholders – Consumers, Community Groups, Small Business
Leaders, etc. As you are one of the critical groups that we would like to hear from, we
are inviting you to a focus group being held for Neighbourhood Association
representatives on Tuesday, September 10, 2013 from 4:00 – 5:30 pm in the Community
Kitchen Room at the Market.
In order to ensure a range of perspectives are captured, we have randomly selected
groups from the Neighbourhood Association directory. We are targeting to include 8-12
participants in this focus group and ask that this invitation be accepted by one
person from your association. Please RSVP your interest by email to [email protected]
A reminder note and some sample discussion questions will be emailed to you prior to
the meeting.
